Adaptive Motorsports & Wellness (AM&W) provides a NASCAR style driving experience to combat wounded/injured servicemen and women. This fully adaptive car provides a unique, adaptive, driving experience for our most deserving veterans. The driving experience combined with an adaptive driving simulator enables wounded service members to regain mobility lost due to wounds and injuries suffered in service to our nation.

2015 AM&W collaborate with North America's #1 manufacturer of hand controls and driving aids for the disabled, Sure - Grip http://suregrip-hvl.com/ President Keith Howell is on board of directors of National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA). NMEDA governs Certified Driving Rehabilitation Specialist (CDRS) to help rehabilitate and reintegrate physically challenged back into society.
Woody Groton is a Persian Gulf War Combat Veteran, former National Director of the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride, as well as being involved in other adaptive sports programs. He currently serves in the New Hampshire National Guard. Woody has volunteered to assist in this event in order to provide Empowerment, Education and Employment tools to better serve the wounded/injured veteran population. (Woody worked with COL Gadson on two Soldier Ride events at the White House)
Program Benefits
· Empowerment: (VXP Gaming Wheel) Physically challenged traditionally make a mental list of things they can no longer do. AM&W gaming wheel provides virtual world access to help develop hand/eye coordination that offer a long term alternative to prevalent treatment, improve functional performance in daily life skills, enhance abilities, build self confidence.
· HOSPITAL: Veterans of the program present short film, introduce gaming simulator, and share freedom, hope and opportunity with newly injured
· Education: (Skills School ~lane changing braking exercises) US Army Engineer Research and Development proved virtual world driving skills transition to real world applications and establish muscle memory proven to reduce accidents and save lives. This is the perfect adjunct to any Drivers Education or Rehabilitation Program.
· LARGE PAVED AREA: Individuals drive adaptive cars on secured course, learn car control and driving behaviors proven to reduce accidents and save lives
· Employment: (NASCAR oval track or European style road course) AM&W assistive technology solution signifies the mobility freedom to engage in job training and education, enhance abilities and maximize clients level of independence and improving quality of life.
· GOAL: Life isnt over post injury, its a NEW beginning; these are the vehicles & tools, this is the road map of rehabilitation and these are the results & reintegration steps back into society SPRING date TBA
